Synopsis

Price Check is a new musical comedy/satire about real people in an Australian Supermarket.
Given that Australia consumes its way out of debt, Price Check explores the social cost of consumerism
and big business and how it affects the fabric of everyday people.

Dave Fisher is a grocery boy wanting to climb the management ladder of success.  Narelle
Sims has been a checkout operator since she left high school and is still doing the same thing
15 years later!  Mrs Zimmerman is an elderly Jewish woman who enjoys the comfort of the
daily social outing to the supermarket to fulfil the inner void that exists.  Mr Butler, the store
manager has only one thing on his mind; how to make as much profit as possible.  Zayeeb Dash
works in the Fruit & Veg department and doesn't realise his full potential.

Does Dave deserve the promotion he is promised?  Will Narelle ever stop being a victim of circumstance?
Does Mr Butler have to do everything himself?  Can Zayeeb survive the internal politics and feuding
between his workmates?  Will Mrs Zimmerman ever find true happiness in the express lane?

At some stage in our lives, we all need a Price Check.
